Day 12 - 10/07 - Launceston - Day 3
We started this sunny day with a light breakfast and headed out to spend most of the day at the Cataract gorge. We first paid a visit to the Trevallyn Dam. We then made our way down to the Recreation area and by an archery range. Along the way we spotted a young echidna which we photographed. But the highlight was finding a live wallaby which allowed us to photograph it up close. Later we saw another smaller wallaby plus a number of beautiful peacocks.
The gorge recreation area has beautiful gardens and many scenic views. There's an overhead tram that provided spectacular views of the area but we didn't ride it. On our way back home, we at lunch at the Hog's Breath located in the former gas plant and did some shopping at Coles, a local grocery store.
After tea, Angela and I went to the local hairdresser and got new haircuts. We then enjoyed a lamb dinner at home with Kaba & Lindsay before spending a quiet evening at home.
